French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced that one of five French passengers evacuated from the MV Hondius cruise ship, which experienced a hantavirus outbreak, exhibited symptoms during the repatriation flight. The individual was immediately placed in strict isolation upon arrival in Paris.

Authorities worldwide are urgently tracing passengers who disembarked from the MV Hondius cruise ship before the hantavirus outbreak was confirmed, as at least 29 passengers left on April 24 after the first fatality.
