Belarus and Russia have commenced joint military drills focused on practicing the use of nuclear weapons, including those deployed by Russia in Belarus. Russia has initiated large-scale nuclear force exercises amid an escalation in Ukrainian drone attacks. The three-day drills involve 64,000 troops, over 200 missile launchers, 140 aircraft, 73 warships, and 13 submarines, including eight equipped with nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles. The exercises aim to prepare for the use of nuclear capabilities under the threat of aggression and demonstrate cooperation with Belarus, which hosts Russian nuclear weapons, including the new Oreshnik missile system.
Russia and Belarus have launched joint military exercises to practice the combat deployment of tactical nuclear weapons.
