Former Cuban President Raúl Castro has been indicted in the U.S. for his alleged role in the 1996 downing of two civilian aircraft operated by Miami-based exile group Brothers to the Rescue, which resulted in the deaths of four U.S. nationals. The indictment accuses him of conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals, murder, and aircraft destruction.
The United States has issued a federal criminal indictment against Raúl Castro, Cuba’s former president, on charges related to the 1996 killing of four people, three of them Americans, in the downing of two civilian planes operated by the exile group Brothers to the Rescue.
