Roxanne Tickle, a transgender woman from regional New South Wales, is suing the women-only social media platform Giggle for Girls after being blocked from using the app, alleging gender identity discrimination.
The Full Federal Court upheld that Giggle for Girls and CEO Sall Grover unlawfully discriminated against Roxanne Tickle by excluding her from the platform, finding two instances of direct discrimination and increasing compensation to $20,000 plus limited legal costs.
