Palestinian armed faction Hamas on the 14th (local time) publicly asked ally Iran to refrain from attacking neighboring countries. In a statement, Hamas said it 'recognizes Iran's right to use all means in accordance with international norms and law to respond to the aggressors (Israel and the United States),' while urging, 'We ask our Iranian brothers to avoid targeting neighboring countries.' This is the first time Hamas has made such an appeal to ally Iran. The request came as Iran, in the course of war with the United States and Israel, has been attacking neighboring Middle Eastern countries. Iran has so far carried out missile and drone strikes on at least 10 countries. Hamas also called on the international community to step in immediately to end a war that is shaking the entire Middle East.
