Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced that the next round of trilateral peace talks with the United States and Russia is expected to take place around 27 February.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is prepared for 'real compromises' in peace talks but will not accept conditions that undermine its sovereignty, labeling Russia's current peace terms as 'terrorism.'

Despite U.S.-led mediation efforts, peace remains elusive as the war in Ukraine enters its fifth year, with Russia occupying about 20% of the country and both sides suffering high casualties.

Peace talks between Ukraine and Russia in Geneva ended abruptly on their second day, with both sides describing the negotiations as 'difficult,' and Ukrainian President Zelensky accusing Moscow of attempting to stall the process.
