The head of one of Taiwan’s top business groups called for both Beijing and Taipei to exclude politics from resuming normal trade and tourism exchanges, following China's announcement of new incentives for the island.
The chairman of Taiwan's General Chamber of Commerce emphasized the need for systematic and normalized trade and tourism exchanges between Beijing and Taipei, urging both sides to prioritize economic stability over political considerations.
The General Chamber of Commerce warned that policy swings could damage industry confidence and called for systematic and normalized efforts to resume trade and tourism between Beijing and Taipei.
An official criticized China's recent 'incentives' as 'sugar-coated poison,' urging Taiwanese industry associations not to amplify Beijing's political agenda and to support a diversified and resilient market environment in Taiwan.
