The United States will invest over $1 billion in research into new and sustainable farm practices, following an additional $200 million in funding, the Environmental Protection Agency as well as the departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services said in a joint statement on Friday.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced over $1 billion in investments to accelerate progress on farm modernization and long-term food supply security, including a $200 million increase in funding for sustainable farming practices.
