The U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday indicted Rúben Rocha Moya, the governor of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, accusing him of trafficking drugs with the infamous Sinaloa cartel.
United States prosecutors have brought charges against Mexico’s Sinaloa state Governor Ruben Rocha Moya and nine current and former officials, accusing them of links to the Sinaloa drug cartel in a move that could strain relations between the two countries.
Sinaloa governor Rubén Rocha Moya has called the charges 'slander'.
The US justice department has charged the governor of Sinaloa and nine other current and former officials for alleged ties to the Sinaloa cartel, accusing them of aiding in the massive importation of illicit narcotics into the United States.
