Kenya is in shock after the exhumation of 32 bodies in the village of Kwa Binzaro. These remains are believed to be linked to the extremist Christian sect already implicated in the deaths of more than 400 people in the Shakahola forest two years ago. This discovery has renewed criticism of the authorities, accused of failing to keep their promise to crack down on sectarian movements.
Forty-seven bodies have been exhumed in a forest outside the coastal town of Malindi. The bodies belong to members of a local cult who took to starving themselves in the hopes of meeting Jesus, all on the orders of a pastor - Makenzie Nthenge.
